The Bentley Azure replaced the Continental as Bentley's luxury convertible line in 1995. Instead of being based on the Corniche platform, it was based on the Bentley Continental R, Bentley's first original model. The 1st generation ended production in 2003 and the 2nd generation, developed by the Volkswagen Group, was released in 2003.
