The 911 & 912, Dr.Porsche's second series of production car went through the coupe targa and convertible models. The Porsche 911 Series became Porsche's flagship line from the introduction of the classic 911 in 1964 up to the present. Though it underwent numerous automotive developments, it has maintained its distinctive rear-engined design throughout its years.
The 911 coupe's progression can be divided into: the 2.0-L 911 ('64-'68), the 911S/T/L ('66-'68), the long 911S/T/E ('69), 2.2-L 911S/T/E ('70-'71), the 2.4-L 911S/T/E ('72-'73), the 2.7-L 911/S, Carrera ('74-'75), the 3.0-L 911/S, Carrera ('76-'77), the 911SC ('78-'83) and the 3.2-L Carrera ('84-'89). The first Targa came in 1967 and the first Cabriolet in 1983. Other variants were: the 4-cyl 912 ('65-'69), the 930/Turbo ('75-'89) and Speedster ('89).
The 911's first major revision, the 964, was in late 1989, the all-wheel drive Carrera 4. The rear-wheel drive Carrera 2 and the Carrera Turbo versions were added in 1990. The Speedster was added in 1992. The 964 was replaced in 1995 by the
Porsche 993. The
Porsche 928 GT was the 911's original replacement but Porsche changed its mind. Our product line covers all these models and when ever possible parts are constructed of factory materials.
