The W126 Coupes was the first of only 2 lines of luxury coupes to be classified as S-Class. It replaced the
W107 Coupes (SLC-Class) in 1981 and was distinguished by the SEC tag. It is basically a 2-door version of the
W126 Sedans and also sometimes known as the C126. The first 2 models introduced were the 380SEC and 500SEC. In 1985, just like the sedans, new models, the 420SEC and 560SEC, replaced previous models except for the 500SEC. All models were replaced in 1992 by the last line of S-Class Coupes, the
W140 Coupes.
