The Jaguar Mark 2 is a medium sized luxury saloon built from 1959 to 1967 as successors to the Jaguar 2.4 and 3.4 models (retrospectively known as the Mark 1 series). In 1963, the
Jaguar S-Type (originally developed as Mark III) was released to replace the Mark 2 but the continued strong sales of the Mark 2 caused Jaguar to keep selling it alongside the S-Type until both models were discontinued in 1967 and replaced by the
Jaguar XJ Series.
