The BMW 3 Series is the compact luxury car line of the German automaker BMW since May 1975. Successor to the 2-door sporty sedans of the BMW "New Class", it has been produced in five different generations and in no less than five different body styles.

The BMW E90 Series was the successor of the E46 and is considered the 5th and current generation of the 3 Series. Released in 2005, the series is currently available in 4 versions: 4-door sedans (E90), 4-door estate/station wagons (E91), 2-door coupes (E92) and 2-door convertibles (E93). The E90 ('07+), E92 ('08+) and E93 ('09+) have M3 versions.
