The Alfa Romeo Giulietta came in 3 versions: a coupe, the
Sprint, a sedan, the Berlina and a convertible, the Spider. The first open two-seater, the Giulietta Spider, was released in 1955 (750 Series), re-designed in 1959 (101 Series) and lasted up to 1965.
In 1962, the Giulia Spider was introduced as the convertible version of the
105 Series Giulia Sedan, although it's just a 1.6-L version of the 1.3-L Giulietta Spider. The Giulia Spider still uses the 101 Series body but with a bonnet bulge for the Giulia's taller engine. In 1966, they finally used the 105 chassis and renamed it as the
Duetto Spider.
